Jennifer Pallian is a magazine food writer, registered dietitian and food scientist. She empowers readers with skills and confidence to level up their cooking with tested-till-perfect recipes, detailed step-by-step guides, and simplified food science.

Foodess was Saveur Blog Awards finalist for Best Original Recipes and has been featured in Bon Appetit, Food Network, Jamie Oliver, Best Health magazine, National Geographic Traveler, Readers Digest, CBS news, etc. She is also a resident recipe developer for one of Canada’s leading women’s brands, Chatelaine Magazine. 

Jennifer Pallian studied cooking, baking and food chemistry in a food lab at the University of British Columbia, and has years of experience as a professional test kitchen recipe developer and registered dietitian.

In 2022, Jennifer was named among “Canada’s Top Food Talent” by Canada’s leading women’s brand, Chatelaine Magazine, and “Canadian top 10 influencer” by Canadian Living Magazine.

She is proud to part of Chatelaine’s team of resident food writers as food scientist and cooking school columnist.

Foodess was named a finalist in Saveur Magazine’s Blog Awards for Best Original Recipes; was named one of the Huffington Post’s “Top Ten Food Bloggers” and “Best Health Tweeters“; one of Today’s Parent Magazine’s “24 most awesome parents on social media” and was featured on Fine Cooking magazine’s “Best of the Blogs”.

Jenn lives in Vancouver, Canada, with her hungry Indian husband Adarsh (who influences a lot of the fan-favorite Indian recipes you’ll find here!), and their three little peanuts, Theo, Everett and Miles.
