My channa masala is just like the version you’ll find in good Indian restaurants. Creamy but with a little bite and body, it’s perfectly spiced and, actually, super simple to make.

Full of all the aromatics you’d expect – cumin, ginger, garlic, etc. and using the instant pot to cook the chickpeas mean they go from dry to perfectly-soft in 20 minutes.

Be sure to accompany it with a spoonful of cucumber yogurt salad and my tangy mango pickleButter Naan is the perfect partner for scooping.

Easy Instant Pot Chicken Biryani

Easy Instant Pot Chicken Biryani

This one-pot meal from Ministry of Curry features fragrant basmati rice, tender spiced chicken, and caramelized onions. It can be prepared in under an hour and delivers traditional stovetop versions’ authentic flavor and texture.

Serve it with cooling Indian Yogurt Sauce (raita) and a squeeze of fresh lime for a hearty and delicious meal.

Instant Pot Coconut Chicken Curry

Here’s an easy 30-minute chicken curry Instant pot recipe from Piping Pot Curry. If you love creamy chicken curry recipes, this one with coconut milk has got to be on your list. The chicken is fall-apart tender and oh-sp comforting.

Instant Pot Chicken Tikka Masala

IP Chicken Tikka

I adore this recipe from Little Sunny Kitchen. Chicken tikka masala is a much-loved classic of Indian cuisine, and making it in the Instant Pot simplifies the process while preserving its authentic flavors.

Tender chicken chunks, marinated in a blend of spices, are cooked in a luscious tomato base enriched with cream, creating a gluten-free dish that is both creamy and flavorful.

Easy Beef Curry (Instant Pot)

Easy Beef Curry

Ahead of Thyme makes Instant Pot beef curry look easy here (also, it is). Make this totally gluten free dish in 45 minutes and serve it piping hot with all your fav Indian sides.

Tuck it into a bowl of steaming fluffy rice or wrap it up in a bun. I love the addition of veggies like potatoes and carrots to bulk up the base recipe.

Instant Pot Lamb Biryani

IP Lamb Biryani

This recipe from Two Sleevers is out of this world. Make this is 30 minutes for a restaurant-quality dish that your friends and family will NOT get over.

The ginger, cardamom and mint make this an extra special dish – it’s honestly one of my favorite Indian dishes.

Lamb Korma (Instant Pot Version)

Lamb Korma

Make this recipe from Jo Cooks asap! It’s creamy and luxurious, with tender lamb that’s slow-cooked to perfection. The rich, delicious flavor comes from the blend of amazing spices.

Korma is all about layering flavors, so using high-quality spices is key for the best taste. If you follow the recipe closely, especially the first time you make it, you’ll be rewarded with a truly luxurious lamb curry.

Undihyu (Mixed Veggie Curry)

Undihyu

Carve Your Craving gives us their Undihyu, or Oondhiyu recipe. It is a traditional Indian mixed vegetable curry, typically requiring hours of cooking to achieve its authentic flavor. Using a pressure cooker saves time and energy without compromising taste.

This is an easy Undhiyu recipe that uses a mix of seasonal and frozen vegetables and requires less oil. Yay!

Instant Pot Matar Paneer

Instant Pot Matar Paneer

Make this recipe for Instant Pot matar paneer from Yellow Thyme for a delightful veggie Indian recipe. Turmeric, garam masala are key spices – the cream adds richness and tastes delicious.

Instant Pot Matar Paneer is a beloved Indian vegetarian curry full of paneer (firm cottage cheese) and green peas. While the traditional method can be time-consuming, the Instant Pot version is remarkably quick and efficient.

Rajma Masala Instant Pot

I’m so into this easy and delicious Instant Pot Rajma Masala or Red Kidney Beans Curry from Piping Hot Curry. There is so much you can do with this dreamy, deeply red bean curry.

Serve it over piping hot rice or even over creamy mashed potato. A hit of freshly chopped cilantro will take it to next-level status.

Instant Pot Khichdi

Instant Pot Khichdi

This recipe from Madhuse Everyday Indian savory Indian porridge featuring lentils, rice, vegetables, and spices.

This one-pot meal of lentils and mixed vegetables is the quintessential Indian comfort food and can be effortlessly prepared using an Instant Pot or a traditional pressure cooker.

Cauliflower Curry in Instant Pot

Make this recipe from Pinch Of Yum when you’ve got a large cauliflower that you need to use up! It’s loaded with perfectly cooked cauliflower, butternut squash, and red lentils, all simmered in a coconut-creamy red curry sauce.

Pour it over a bowl of fluffy basmati rice, and you’re good to go.

Instant Pot Khandvi

Instant Pot Khandvi

How delicious does this veggie recipe from My Heart Beets look? Khandvi is a popular Gujarati snack made from gram flour (besan) and yogurt, cooked into a smooth batter and then rolled into bite-sized pieces.

These delicate yellow rolls are seasoned with mustard seeds and sesame seeds and garnished with fresh coconut and cilantro. Known for its soft texture and mildly tangy flavor, Khandvi is a delightful and visually appealing dish often enjoyed as a light snack or appetizer.

hey Jennifer, just had to drop a comment here coz oh my goodness, the Instant Pot Lamb Biryani was a hit at our dinner table last night! My kids are usually picky eaters but they asked for seconds, i couldn’t believe it 😅. i’ve been scared of trying to make biryani coz it always seemed so complicated but your recipe made it so simple and fuss free, honestly, it’s going into our weekly rotation from now. Also, if you have a tip on how to make it a bit less spicy but still flavorful for the kiddos, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks a ton for sharing these life saver recipes!

Roberta, so thrilled to hear your family enjoyed the biryani! For less heat without compromising flavor, try reducing the chili powder and adding a bit more of the garam masala. It adds warmth without the burn.

can you use coconut milk instead of cream?
