How to Reheat Grilled Chicken in Air Fryer (Perfectly!)
How to Reheat Grilled Chicken in an Air Fryer so it stays juicy and flavorful. This reheating method uses an air fryer to lock in moisture while maintaining a nice outer texture.
Preheat the air fryer to 360°F (182°C). Lightly coat the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
Place chicken in a single layer inside the air fryer basket, leaving space between them for proper airflow. Spray the top of the chicken with more cooking spray to prevent drying out.
Load the basket into the air fryer and reheat for 5-6 minutes. After that, turn the chicken pieces with tongs and reheat for another 2-5 minutes more or until fully warmed through. Larger chicken pieces will take longer.
Check that the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C) using a meat thermometer.
Notes
Use cooking spray or oil to help the chicken retain moisture and restore a crisp exterior. Avocado oil is a great alternative to cooking spray for a high smoke point. For best results, avoid reheating the chicken more than once, as this can dry it out and become risky for food safety. Reheat chicken from room temperature if possible, as this shortens reheating time and results in more even warming.
