How to Reheat French Fries in the Air Fryer (Perfectly!)
Reheat your leftover French fries to crispy perfection in just a few minutes using the air fryer. This method works for fast food fries, homemade fries, and even yam fries.
Preheat the air fryer to 360°F to 400°F (182°C to 204°C). Preheating is key to ensuring even reheating and a crispy texture.
Place the fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer, avoiding overcrowding so the air can circulate properly. Lightly spray with cooking oil if desired for extra crispness.
Cook the fries for 3-5 minutes, checking at the halfway mark. Shake the basket or flip the fries for even reheating.
Check for crispiness, and if needed, continue cooking for another minute or two until they’re as crispy as you like.
Once golden and crispy, remove from the air fryer and serve immediately while hot.
Notes
For thicker fries or yam fries, you may need to add an extra minute or two to the cooking time.Avoid overcooking as fries can quickly turn hard.A light spritz of oil before reheating can enhance crispiness, but it’s optional.
