Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 2-3 frozen chicken breasts
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper ¾ - 1 tsp kosher salt per lb of chicken
  • Optional: Herbs and spices of your choice

Instructions

  • Pour chicken broth or water into the Instant Pot.
  • Season the frozen chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Place the chicken breasts in the Instant Pot.
  • Secure the lid and set the valve to the sealing position. Cook on high pressure for 12-15 minutes.
  • Let the pressure release naturally for at least 10 minutes, then vent to release any remaining steam.
  • Check that the chicken has reached an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  • Rest the chicken for a few minutes before serving.
