There’s a reason chocolate-dipped strawberries are the gold standard for romantic desserts. Chocolate and strawberries belong side-by-side. Put them together in any doughy vehicle, like these killer scones for example, and they practically sing ballads.
The only possible reason I can come up with why this delightful pairing is wildly underused is that strawberries are high in water, which gets released during baking, so the product is really only great for the first day. No problem-o. One taste of these rolls and I’m sure they’ll have no hope of seeing tomorrow.
